County status and growth

Tooele County has about 57,000 residents (US Census). About 2,000 were added each of the last 8 years.

Tooele leads the category for the most affordable place to build of all the counties surrounding the Salt Lake Valley. Building there makes a lot of sense for many people working in Salt Lake.

Average commute times rival the length of time it takes to get across town in rush hour traffic, and it’s much less than coming from Utah County and parts of Davis and Weber County.

Stansbury Park is showing the most new homes by Utah home builders, but Tooele isn’t far behind this past year. Besides very affordable homes, very nice custom homes are also being built.
