County status and growth

Salt Lake County is home to about 1,023,000 residents (US Census). Its character and uniqueness has been attracting about 17,000 more people annually for the last 5 years.

Utah home builders are catering to the needs of all home buyers, but the current market is favoring less expensive homes. Most homes in the county are being built South and West, but pockets of new homes are found all over, particularly custom homes.
